Have you changed your model?
Yes, we have changed our co-op model and have updated our name to reflect these changes: St Thomas Aquinas Academy & Co-Op (aka STAAC). We now meet for 24 weeks over the course of a 30 week period in a (mostly) 3 weeks on and 1 week off pattern. Volunteering is optional for the 8am-11:55am classes, but there are extra fees if you don't volunteer. Volunteers must also help the entire time that their students are in classes in order to keep the co-op running smoothly. Many of our academic classes, for grades 3rd through 12th, are taught by tutors and require working during our off weeks and turning in material online. Our academic classes are set to follow a 3 year rotation and that is posted under Classes: 3 Year Plan. We still have enrichment classes like before. We will have a full drama performance at the end of the year put on by our upper grades and will also have two "Student Showcase" opportunities at the end of the semesters for classes and/or individual children to sign up and perform for the co-op. We have also added a 5th Hour co-op period which will meet after mass. It will start with lunch and will end at 2:30. 5th Hour is a true co-op class. It will be run by volunteers who sign up in 3-week increments and the topics are up to them. Ideas include: PE, robotics, Tea Parties or some Little Flower-type meetings, choir, game club, book clubs, etc.! Pair up with a parent-friend and teach a fun elective! More info below.
Who can stay for mass, Lunch, and/or 5th Hour classes?
Once morning classes end at 11:55am and carpool ends, any students remaining on campus MUST HAVE A PARENT WITH THEM. 5th Hour co-op from 1:30-2:30 is only available for students whose parent stays on campus and helps. The signup for teaching 5th Hour classes is HERE. If parents do not sign up to teach/lead a class 5th Hour will be canceled that day.
Do I have to attend all the 5th Hour classes?
No. We will have a family signup sheet posted after August 15. Sign up to attend whatever you wish. Payment will be due to the leaders and refunds are at their discretion in the event of your absence. Remember, it’s a supply fee and these classes are taught by parents- so in most cases refunds will not be given if supplies have been bought. If you are not enrolled in the STAAC morning classes, you will need to pay the facility fee and registration, and administration. View this link here to register for 5th hour only.
What costs are required to join?
Please see the Handbook to view the three non-refundable enrollment fees.
Tuition and/or supply fees varies by class and are set by the teacher and are paid by Venmo (preferred) or check mailed directly to the teachers.

Do i have to be a practicing catholic to attend STAAC?

If you're a prospective family please look at the Handbook for the procedures and then head over to our New Family Registration page for more info.
Can my child bring pokemon cards or toys to STAAC?
No. They're too much of a distraction. Any Pokemon cards brought on campus will be confiscated by the teacher or hall monitor and given to the parent at the end of the day. In general, the only personal belongings brought on campus should be school related- toys, sports balls, and games may not be brought on campus without teacher's permission. See the Handbook.
